HH&K Partner and Co-Lead Counsel in the BP Oil case, Steve Herman, is pleased to announce that BP lost its request to ask the entire Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals to review a three judge panel decision from the same Court which held that BP must honor the terms of the settlement agreement as written by them, signed by them, and approved by the District Court as fair, reasonable and adequate.
This decision is a positive step towards allowing the claims process to proceed for business claimants whose claims were put on hold by this appeal.
HH&K is prepared to fight on to make sure BP honors its contract.
