HH&K Partner Brian Katz will be installed as the President of the Greater New Orleans Jewish Community Center (JCC) on February 20. He will serve a two-year term as president.

Katz is a life-long member of the JCC and has served on its board since 2000. He most recently served as the Executive Vice President and, as president, Katz will oversee the JCC’s Board of Directors, who are in charge of major policy decision-making for the organization.

As he looks forward to this new role, Katz is faced with the sort of challenges that leaders often dream of having.

“The past several years have been record-breaking for the JCC,” explains Katz, “so our challenge will be finding a way to improve on something that is already so strong! We want to turn great years into even better years. I’m excited to be a part of that and to help take the JCC to the next level!”

For more than 150 years, the New Orleans JCC’s mission has been to “promote and ensure the well being of [the local] Jewish community and to instill an understanding of Judaism and its heritage by providing a Center where all can enjoy, learn, experience and share in quality activities in a Jewish environment.” The JCC has locations in Metairie and Uptown, both of which offer fitness centers, classrooms, swimming pools, art studios, public meeting places and auditoriums.
