The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected BP’s attempts to back out of its own settlement, dismissing the unfair and misleading attacks on the Claims Administrator, and telling BP: A Deal is a Deal. This decision by the High Court to leave undisturbed the U.S. Fifth Circuit’s opinion approving the settlement that BP negotiated, signed, and asked the Court to approve in 2012, will allow the businesses and families of the Gulf Coast to continue to make Claims under the objective and transparent frameworks to which BP had previously agreed, in the landmark settlement that was negotiated by HHK Partner, Steve Herman, who serves as Co-Lead Counsel, and other nationally recognized attorneys appointed by the Court. Eligible claimants will have an additional six months to submit Claims to the independently administered Settlement Program. Visit: www.thetruthaboutthebpsettlement.com
