The Baldwin Award is presented each year to the “most outstanding young trial lawyer” in the country.

Jed clerked with HHK throughout law school and became an associate with the firm in the summer of 2005, shortly before Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans. After Hurricane Katrina, Jed became heavily involved in the firm’s prosecution of both commercial and residential first party property insurance claims. The New York Times, Law Dragon, and the New Orleans Times Picayune have recognized Jed’s work on behalf of the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Since completing his work on these insurance claims, Jed has developed a diverse personal injury trial practice. His work on behalf of injured workers and their families has resulted in multimillion dollar jury verdicts throughout the state of Louisiana. Jed’s accomplishments include securing an $8.05 million verdict on behalf of an injured utility worker following a two week trial. Within one month of that verdict, Jed secured another $7.45 million verdict on behalf of a widow whose husband was killed in a tragic offshore accident.
