Ms. O’Brien attended the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law where she earned her J.D. in December 2013, graduating cum laude as a William L. Crowe, Sr. scholar. At Loyola, Ms. O’Brien received the Joseph V. Bologna award for attaining the highest grade in her Civil Law Property 1 section and participated in the Loyola Law Review and the Litigation and Technology clinical seminar. While enrolled in the evening division of the civil law program at Loyola, Ms. O’Brien continued working either part- or full-time in successive legal support positions. In her second year of law school, Ms. O’Brien was a member of the document review group of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill MDL-2179 litigation team.

Ms. O’Brien joined Herman, Herman &Katz in August 2012, assisting clients with their claims in the Deepwater Horizon oil spill MDL-2179 settlement program. At the beginning of 2013, Ms. O’Brien became a law clerk with Herman, Herman & Katz, and was hired as an associate in January 2015. A member of the American Bar and Louisiana Bar Association, Ms. O’Brien is also a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice and is admitted to practice in all federal and state courts in Louisiana and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
