Upon graduating law school, Mr. Busby practiced as an associate for four years at a Tulsa-based law firm in their business litigation section where he regularly practiced in Oklahoma state and federal courts. When Patrick returned to New Orleans in 2011, he worked remotely as the legal advisor for an emerging Oklahoma-based state-of-the-art engineering software company. In 2012, Mr. Busby transitioned to the business development division of the company. Thereafter in late 2012 and prior to becoming an associate with Herman, Herman & Katz, L.L.C., Mr. Busby worked as a business economic loss (“BEL”) consultant for the firm with regard to the Deepwater Horizon Settlement Program. Currently, Mr. Busby focuses the majority of his work with the firm’s BEL clients and in the class action litigation arising from the Deepwater Horizon disaster.
