We are proud to announce that Steve Herman has received a 2023 American Association for Justice (AAJ) Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes members of the AAJ Board of Governors who have been of special assistance to the outgoing President of the association, Tad Thomas.
The award was presented on Tuesday, July 18th, at the AAJ Board of Governors meeting. Being acknowledged for this esteemed award alongside his fellow recipients is a great honor for Mr. Herman, who was a recipient of the award in 2021, as well as a Heavy Lifting Award in 2012, an Above and Beyond Award in 2019, Wiedemann-Wysocki Awards in 2001 and 2011, and the Harry Philo Award in 2018.
Mr. Herman has been a member of AAJ throughout his career, serving on the Board and several committees. He is a past President of the Civil Justice Foundation and the National Civil Justice Institute (formerly Pound), and Chairs the Amicus Committee. Steve is also a National College of Advocacy Board Member, who regularly speaks at AAJ conventions and seminars, including the AAJ Mass Tort Litigation Seminar on July 14, 2023.
