On Friday, March 22, HH&K partner Russ Herman was inducted into the inaugural class of the Tulane Law School Hall of Fame, which includes six living and six posthumous inductees. Mr. Herman and his fellow honorees were recognized and celebrated at Tulane Law School’s Annual Alumni Luncheon at the New Orleans Westin Hotel in downtown New Orleans.
Russ Herman, who graduated from Tulane Law School in 1966, is honored to have been selected as one of six living Tulane Law School graduates, out of more than 13,000, for the inaugural class. Both his father and son, HH&K partner Stephen J. Herman, are also Tulane Law School graduates, and the Herman family has a long history at Tulane Law (a total of nine alumni among them).
“Tulane Law School, its professors and alumni have all had a terrific influence on my career as an attorney,” explains Mr. Herman. “I am extraordinarily proud of this honor.”
Mr. Herman is recognized by the Hall of Fame as being one of the nation’s leading trial lawyers, his service as a veteran faculty member in Tulane’s Trial Advocacy program and his numerous professional awards, including Association of Trial Lawyers of America’s Champion of Justice award; the American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section’s Pursuit of Justice Award; the Federal Bar Association’s John R. Martzell “Professionalism” Award; his continued recognition by peer-review publications like Super Lawyers, The Legal 500, Best Lawyers and Law Dragon; and his membership in the American Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame.
The Tulane Law School Hall of Fame recognizes those extraordinarily accomplished alumni and legendary faculty members throughout the school’s 166-year history. Nominees are selected by an alumni committee on the basis of their distinguished professional achievements and their enduring commitment and service to Tulane Law School.
