Morton Katz was recently elected to the Board of Trustees of Loyola University of the South located in New Orleans. He is an alumni of the Loyola Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1969, and he previously served as chairman of the Loyola Law School Alumni Association. Mr. Katz is also an emeritus member of the Loyola Law School Visiting Committee.

The function of the Loyola University Board of Trustees is policy making and sound management. The Board formulates and determines the general, educational and financial policies as deemed necessary for the administration and development of the Corporation in accordance with its shared purposes.

The Board of Trustees is currently monitoring and overseeing various initiatives such as Transforming Loyola 2020, a plan designed to guide the University into the next decade.
